iPods while typing

Did you find it difficult to concentrate on your typing skills while you were listening to your iPod? If so, tell me how you handled the situation. If you did not have difficulty concentrating, tell why you thinkg you were able to do both at the same time. Did your daily score reflect the answer you just gave. In other words, if you found it difficult to focus, did your score reflect that?

I Think is was easier to type with my ipod in, because I wasn't focusing on messing up. I typed a lot better too.

I don't have an iPod but I find that when I listen to music my performance goes down compared to when I am only concentrating on the work I am doing.

I think it wasnt a problem typing listening to my ipod because it wasnt very loud. So then I just blanked it out when I did the build skill because I wanted to get a good grade to end the quarter.

I think it helped me type, because the music was fast so I typed faster, but I typed liss acurate too. My score wasn't very good though.

I think that it was easy to type when I was listening to my ipod. While I was doing the learn and improve it was on, but I hit pause when I was doing my build skill. I turned it back on during the game.

I think that I work way better with an ipod, because I keep the beat of the song playing while typing. I got a 100% on the lesson we did with ipods.

I did not bring my mp3, But most of the time when I listen to music and try to read It makes it hard to understand the book. Because I cant multitask. Very well and it messes up the picture in my head so I cant comprehened the words or story well.

I would have been a little distracted by my music I think if I had brought it to class. I think I would have because of the songs that I listen to and also because of how easily i'm distracted by things that I like.

Yes, I found it to be a bit more difficult typing while listening to music. I just had to go slower and take time. For me it's more distracting.

I think that listing to an ipod while typing is really fun. I didnt have any problem with it till I got to the build skill where I had to shut it off to concintrate more.Otherwise it was fine.

Having an ipod on while I did my assignment on the computer didn't bother me at all. I was able to concentrate more on the Build Skill than on the music. Listening to my ipod didn't make my grade better or worse, it just stayed the same. Thanks for letting us use them!

I think when I listen to my music it is better when I read because it makes me concentrate on what I read. So I don't here screaming from my little sister so its peaceful. Also though when I try to do my homework it's harder for me to think so I don't listen when I do my homework.

Well Mrs. Gile, thanks for letting us use our mp3's, although I forgot mine at home. I think that My mp3 sort of helps me concentrate a little, probably because it relax's me a bit. Relaxing me helps me to do things a whole lot more then I normally would.

I think it was easier to us an I Pod as i was typing because, it was giving me something else to think about and i just typed it naturally. So the words just like went down as i looked at the word and i didn't think about it so i keyed faster and better than before. Zach Hansen Pd 3

I thought that it was not that bad for me to use the ipod and type at the same time. It was not that hard because i turned it down and took one of the earphones out of my ear so it would not bother me as much. Also so that if you said somthing that i could hear what you said. I did really good on that lesson too. I just wanted to say thank you for letting us use them because it made the period alot more fun!!

I did think that for me it was easier to listen to music while typing. I believe it helped because the beat of the music seemed help me to fasten my pace and I felt like I did much better. It took me one try and I had been very helpful, in my opinion.

I thought that ipods while typing was great! When you are listening to a song with a good beat it will keep you on pace, but it sometimes messed me up with the words of a song(thinking of the words and not what your supposed to type).

I thought it was in fact, very easy to type with my iPod in, helpful, accutelly. I did notice though, that I tended to pick songs with a very repeditave, quick rythem. I got 43 as my avrage GWAM, better than I have done all year.

I think it was harder with my ipod on when I was doing my build skill. So all I did to do better was that I just had to turn my ipod down to where I could barely hear it. But when I was doing anything else, like the improve or the game,I did better with the ipod on.

litcircles09Listing to my iPod when I was typing was a little hard. When I typed a difficult line or when I was doing the build skill, I would get the beat of the song in my mind not the wpm I was supposed to be typing, I would pause my iPod.
